Description
The SAM occlusive chest seal is designed for use in demanding conditions where reliable adhesion to the skin is critical. It uses a hydrogel adhesive that, according to the manufacturer, maintains adhesion even when the skin is exposed to blood, sweat, hair, sand, or water, as well as in high or low ambient temperatures.
Its oval shape provides a larger sealing area around the wound and helps create a reliable occlusive barrier. Two dedicated application tabs make the seal easier to grip, allow precise placement over the wound, and facilitate removal when required.
The design is intended for situations where the device must be applied quickly and environmental conditions may be less than ideal, making the SAM occlusive chest seal a practical choice for professional first aid, emergency medical, and tactical medical kits.
