Description
The TMT Tactical Mechanical Tourniquet is a windlass-type extremity tourniquet designed to control life-threatening massive extremity bleeding. Its construction features a 2-inch (approximately 5 cm) wide strap, which is wider than that of many conventional tourniquets, helping distribute pressure over a larger area of the limb.
The tourniquet incorporates a dual-locking torsion mechanism, with an audible click confirming that the mechanism has been securely locked. Its design enables rapid application in critical situations, and the tourniquet can be applied with one hand when necessary, making it suitable for self-application.
The TMT is intended for professional use in emergency, tactical, and military medicine and can also be included in bleeding control and first aid kits. The device is registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and bears the CE mark.

The TMT uses a wider 2-inch band and a dual-locking torsion-bar mechanism.
