Description
Xtract SR Base is a durable support base designed for use with fabric stretchers when a casualty must be transported over difficult or uneven terrain. Fabric stretchers are lightweight, compact, and convenient for rapid casualty movement; however, when dragged over asphalt, rocky ground, rubble, or other rough surfaces, the fabric is exposed to significant friction and wears more quickly, while every irregularity in the ground can directly affect the person being transported.
Xtract SR Base is positioned beneath the stretcher, creating a durable protective layer between the stretcher and the ground. Its more rigid construction provides additional stability, helps protect the stretcher fabric from direct contact with rough surfaces, and makes it easier to drag the casualty over longer distances.
This solution is particularly useful in situations where conventional stretcher carrying is difficult or impossible, including rescue operations, evacuation from hard-to-reach locations, rubble, industrial sites, and field environments.
Xtract SR Base extends the capabilities of fabric stretchers and allows them to be used in more demanding evacuation scenarios where speed and mobility must be combined with equipment durability and casualty protection.
