Description
Advantage is a single-head Popp Point Pressure System component designed for effective hemorrhage control in proximal extremity injuries. It is intended for use in situations where bleeding is located in the groin, axilla, or upper thigh—areas where a conventional limb tourniquet cannot be applied or is ineffective.
The large pressure head distributes force evenly over a broader contact area, allowing targeted pressure to be applied directly over a packed wound. This helps maintain continuous hemorrhage control while reducing the need for prolonged manual pressure by the rescuer.
When used in combination with proper wound packing, the Advantage Pressure Bar provides stable, sustained compression, enabling the responder to perform other critical life-saving interventions, such as assessing the casualty, maintaining airway patency, preparing for evacuation, or assisting additional casualties.
Warning: This device does not replace a tourniquet for life-threatening extremity hemorrhage. The wound must be properly packed before applying the device.
Storage: Store in a dry place in the original packaging.
