Description
The simulated wound is designed for realistic trauma simulation and practical training scenarios where accurate replication of a severe thermal injury is required. It simulates a third-degree chest burn following debridement of necrotic tissue and is ready to use straight from the package, requiring no additional adhesive, special effects make-up, or other preparation.
The self-adhesive backing allows the simulation to be applied directly to a casualty actor’s skin, enabling training scenarios to be prepared quickly without additional supplies.
According to the manufacturer, the simulated wound can be removed and transferred from one casualty actor to another without additional treatment, allowing the same device to be reused across different training scenarios.
If the self-adhesive surface becomes contaminated during use and adhesion is reduced, the simulation can be washed with warm soapy water. Removing dirt and debris helps restore the adhesive properties of the backing.
Its realistic appearance, simple preparation, and reusability make this simulated wound suitable for first aid, emergency medicine, tactical medicine, trauma management, and other practical training exercises where realistic training conditions are required.
Is adhesive needed?
No, the base is self-adhesive.
Can it be reused?
Yes – wash contaminated moulage with warm soapy water.
Suitable for real wounds?
No, this is a training aid only.
