Description
TPAK decompression needle complies with the dimensions recommended by the CoTCCC: a 14G diameter and a 3.25-inch (approximately 8.25 cm) length. These dimensions are designed to provide sufficient needle length to penetrate the chest wall and reach the pleural space during needle decompression.
The integrated open indicator chamber allows the immediate detection of air or fluid and provides visual feedback confirming the needle’s entry into the pleural space, eliminating the need for an additional syringe to verify needle placement. This design helps simplify the procedure and reduce the number of additional steps required in situations where rapid and precise action is critical.
TPAK is intended for use by trained medical professionals performing needle decompression in accordance with applicable clinical or tactical medicine protocols.
.
Why 3.25 inches?
That length is CoTCCC-recommended so the needle reliably reaches the pleural space.
What is the flash chamber for?
It confirms correct needle placement instantly..
