Description
The simulated wound is designed to create realistic first aid, medical, and trauma management training scenarios. It realistically replicates a third-degree arm burn following debridement of necrotic tissue and is ready to use straight from the package, requiring no additional adhesive, special effects make-up, or other preparation.
The self-adhesive simulation is applied directly to a casualty actor’s skin, allowing training scenarios to be prepared quickly and easily. According to the manufacturer, the wound simulation can be removed from one casualty actor and transferred to another without additional treatment, making it suitable for repeated practical sessions and different training scenarios.
If the simulation becomes contaminated during use or its adhesion weakens, it can be washed with warm soapy water. Once cleaned, the self-adhesive backing regains its adhesive properties, allowing the simulation to be reused.
Its realistic appearance and ease of use make this simulated wound suitable for practical first aid, emergency medicine, trauma management, and simulation-based training where realistic injury scenarios are required and trainees need to practise the appropriate sequence of actions in a safe training environment.
Is adhesive needed?
No, the base is self-adhesive.
Can it be reused?
Yes – wash contaminated moulage with warm soapy water.
Suitable for real wounds?
No, this is a training aid only.
