Description
The Advantage Pressure System is designed for situations where a packed wound requires targeted and continuous pressure. After packing a wound with gauze or a hemostatic agent, maintaining adequate pressure directly over the wound site is essential for bleeding control. Applying manual pressure for an extended period can be difficult, particularly while awaiting evacuation, transporting a casualty, or providing care to multiple injured patients.
The patented Popp Point Pressure (P3D) technology used in the kit allows pressure to be focused on the selected wound area and maintained without continuous manual pressure. This gives the responder greater freedom to perform other essential interventions and monitor the casualty’s condition.
The kit includes three interchangeable pressure applicators in different sizes. This allows the most appropriate contact area to be selected for each situation based on the wound location, wound characteristics, and the required pressure zone.
The pressure applicators are stored on a dedicated carrier card designed for MOLLE systems and pockets, keeping the entire kit compact and easy to integrate into an Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK), medical backpack, or other professional medical equipment kit.
How does it differ from TADV-02?
TADV-01 is the full set with three heads; TADV-02 is a single device with one large head.
Does it replace a tourniquet?
No – it maintains pressure on a packed wound.
