Description
The foil emergency thermal blanket is one of the most important first aid tools, designed to help preserve the casualty’s body heat and reduce the impact of adverse environmental factors until professional medical help arrives.
Due to its compact size, light weight, and ease of use, it should be in every vehicle, first aid kit, hiking backpack, workplace, or civil defense kit.
The emergency thermal blanket is made from metalized foil that reflects the majority of thermal radiation emitted by the human body. When used properly, it helps reduce heat loss and protect the casualty from hypothermia.
Dual-sided purpose
The blanket has two different colored sides, each serving a purpose depending on the situation.
The silver side, facing the body, helps reflect the heat emitted by the person back and thus reduces heat loss. This method of use is recommended to protect the casualty from cooling.
The gold side is more visible in the environment, so it can help locate the casualty more quickly during rescue operations. Due to its brighter color, it is often chosen in situations where better visibility of the person is important.
