Description
SWAT-T is a versatile bleeding control device designed for rapid and straightforward use in situations where severe extremity bleeding must be controlled. The device consists of a 10 × 137 cm elastic polyisoprene band without buckles, windlasses, or other mechanical components, making its design simple, compact, and adaptable to limbs of different sizes.
A special indicator pattern printed on the surface helps assess the appropriate level of tension. As the band is stretched, the printed rectangles change shape; when they become squares, the tension level specified by the manufacturer has been reached.
Thanks to its wide range of adjustability, SWAT-T can be applied to both very small and very large limbs, making it particularly useful in situations where a conventional windlass tourniquet may be difficult to fit properly. It can be used on children, adults, and working dogs, depending on the specific situation and limb anatomy.
SWAT-T is made from polyisoprene and contains no natural rubber latex. Its compact size and design without mechanical components make it convenient for inclusion in individual first aid kits, bleeding control kits, and professional medical equipment.
