Description
Access to the wound is one of the first steps when assessing and treating a casualty. During training, it is therefore important to practise not only medical procedures but also how to quickly and safely access the injury site. Under real-life conditions, this may require cutting or otherwise removing the casualty’s clothing. However, using actual uniforms in repeatedly performed training scenarios would be impractical and costly.
The Breakaway Training Uniform is specifically designed for repeated medical and tactical medicine training. Its construction allows trainees to simulate rapid opening of clothing and gain access to the required area of the body without damaging the uniform itself. After the exercise, the opened sections can be reattached, allowing the same uniform set to be reused in different training scenarios.
This solution enables realistic training in casualty assessment, wound identification, bleeding control, and other procedures that require rapid access to the injury site, while reducing the amount of consumable training equipment and associated costs.
