SurSecur™ is a sterile 28 Fr / 7.0 mm nasopharyngeal airway designed to maintain airway patency during emergency and tactical medical care. Description
SurSecur™ 28 Fr Nasopharyngeal Airway is a professional medical device designed to maintain airway patency and is suitable for use in pre-hospital and emergency medical care, as well as tactical and military medical settings. The airway is made from medical-grade silicone, making it soft, flexible, and resistant to residual deformation. The 28 Fr airway has an outer diameter of 9.3 mm and an inner diameter of 7.0 mm.
One of the key design features of this device is the patented SurSecur™ securing flange. It helps maintain the airway in the correct position, reduces the risk of rotation or displacement during patient movement and transport, and allows visual identification of the orientation of the bevelled distal tip. This is particularly important when providing care in challenging conditions where the patient must be moved or evacuated.
Additional lateral openings in the distal section of the airway help maintain airflow when the main opening is partially obstructed by tissue, mucus, or blood. This design provides an additional pathway for airflow and helps maintain the device’s functionality in challenging clinical circumstances.
SurSecur™ Nasopharyngeal Airway is supplied sterile and contains no latex. The device is intended for single-patient use. When stored under appropriate conditions in unopened and undamaged packaging, it has a shelf life of 5 years. Due to its design, material properties, and securing mechanism, the SurSecur™ 28 Fr is suitable for professionals who require reliable airway support in both routine emergency medical practice and challenging pre-hospital, tactical, or military medical environments.
